Anyone can film a wedding, but I want to make something you can feel. A wedding is more than just a single day—it’s an entire experience. From the welcome party to the late-night dance floor, my goal is to capture the full energy of your wedding weekend and turn it into a film that makes you feel like you’re right back in the moment.
I don’t do stiff poses or forced moments. The best parts of your day happen naturally—your partner’s reaction when they see you for the first time, the belly laughs with your best friends, the way the music hits just right when the dance floor goes off. I capture what you felt in those moments so you can relive them forever.
🥁 Who I Am And How I Got Here
I’ve been filming weddings since 2015, but my love for storytelling started way before that. Before diving into filmmaking, I spent years touring in a band (Go Radio—Straight up Emo/Pop-Punk Muisc!), traveling the country, and playing shows. That experience shaped the way I see stories—how music, movement, and emotion come together to create something unforgettable.
That same passion for music is what drives my films today. The rhythm of a wedding day, the emotions that build and release, the quiet in-between moments—it’s all part of the story, and I edit with that same instinct for timing and feeling. I don’t just set moments to music. I craft films that flow, where every cut and every song choice adds to the experience of watching it.

💛 Why This Matters to Me
In 2017, my life took a turn I never saw coming—I was diagnosed with stage 3 stomach cancer. At 33, I had my entire stomach removed, along with 27 lymph nodes. It changed everything. When you go through something like that, your perspective shifts fast. You realize how fleeting life is, how nothing is guaranteed, and how the small, everyday moments are just as important as the big ones.
That’s why this work means so much to me. Capturing weddings isn’t just about making something beautiful—it’s about preserving time. The way your dad looks at you before walking down the aisle. The way your partner pulls you in just a little closer during your first dance. The people who are there celebrating with you—because, honestly, we don’t know how long we have with them.
I know firsthand how quickly life can change, and that’s why I pour everything I have into making these films.

While I (Steven) handle most of the filming and editing, I also work with a small, handpicked team of videographers—Charles, Scott, Tony, Kevin and Jules—who share my approach and style. Each has filmed weddings as a lead videographer, and I personally train them to make sure every film feels like Wild Light Films. Whether I’m behind the camera or one of my trusted team members is capturing your day, you’ll get the same cinematic, emotional, and immersive experience that defines my work.
